Alison Lasek is a Communications Manager with over 15 years of experience, specialising in engaging audiences and nurturing communities. She was previously Client Director at Culture Counts and the Public Programs Manager for the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art. She has contributed a wide range of arts publications including Art and Australia, Runway Australian Experimental Art Journal and Vault Magazine.
Alison produces the Joyful Sober podcast, where she chats to creatives, entrepreneurs and down-right fun people about their less boozy life.
Forever curious, Alison’s latest passion is astrology and exploring the ways we’re connected to universal cycles of growth.
What is one thing you would change/create to make the world a better place for women?
Let’s stop asking women to emulate men when it comes to leadership and top roles across so many of our industries. Let’s value qualities like empathy and the ability to elevate others in all genders. Oh and let's properly value, and renumerate, all caring professionals while we’re at it!
